Another two top twenty hits followed this year with 'Run For Your Life' and 'When We Were Young' reaching number 14 and 10 respectively. This was closely followed by the groups 3rd studio album 'Hand Cut'.
In addition to their studio and live achievements, Bucks Fizz were also becoming television favorites. This year was no exception as the BBC filmed a live special at Blazers in Windsor, which attracted huge viewing audiences and also appeared on the TV show 'Starburst' singing live.
Another sell out tour was staged in March/April followed by with two weeks of shows at the Cornwall Coliseum, St Austell from 1st to 13th August. Also this year the group were invited to perform at the Santiago Festival in Chile to audiences of 25000 at a time. The group also went to Bahrain for yet more concert appearances.
The fan base was increasing and the fan club celebrated as they achieved over 8500 members by the end of the year. Anther single was released which reached number 34 in the UK charts, 'London Town'.
Finally the year was topped off with the release of their Greatest Hits album which went gold and was backed by yet more live shows at the Apollo Theatre in Victoria, London from 27th to 31st December with seven concerts and yet another single, 'Rules Of The Game'. |
